Rainbow Pellet Sdn. Bhd. was founded in 2014.
Rainbow Pellet is currently one of the biggest wood pellet producers in Malaysia, with a production capacity of 160,000 MT a year. This number continues to grow with the extension of a third production location.
We are a sister company to PIO Hardwoods (M) Sdn. Bhd., a pioneer in the sawn timber industry. This has provided much advantage not only in the local market but also extends to other challenging global markets such as Korea, Japan, China etc.
Rainbow Pellet is the first company in the Asian region to be EN Plus-certified. This is a testament to the emphasis Rainbow Pellet has on quality. It is also a PEFC-Certified company, with 100% of our raw material sourced from legally managed forests and part of our raw material sourced from sustainably managed forests.
PIO Hardwoods (M) Sdn. Bhd. (PIO) was founded by Mr. Richard Wong in 1985 and is presently headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Having been in the timber industry for more than 30 years, PIO has gradually reached out to the diverse markets of Europe, South Africa, Middle East, USA and China. PIO is mainly focused on trading a variety of sawn timber and semi finished products.
With a yearly turnover of 150,000 m3 of timber, PIO has wide experience and a good reputation in the timber market.
PIO is PEFC-certified and sources only legal timber. All timber traded are sourced from sustainably managed forest and strictly scrutinised before exportation.
